Dear Interlachen Woods Neighbor:
This Directory/Handbook is designed to help you become involved in the Interlachen Community Association as an active member. Incorporated in October of 1996, the Association's mission is fourfold: to maintain an attractive neighborhood; to keep it safe; to build community spirit; and to enhance the value of our homes for resale purposes. It is voluntary, nonprofit corporation with a seven member board that prepares the budget, allocates resources to standing committees, and establishes annual dues. Directors also serve as chairmen of the six standing committees. Charter membership has been established at $100.00 with each subsequent year's dues set to reflect the budgeted projected need.
At this time, meetings of the Association Board are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in Woodbury City Hall. These meetings are open to any members of the Association and all are encouraged to attend. Annual membership meetings are held in April to coincide with the fiscal year which runs April 1 thru March 31. The budget is presented and approved at the annual meeting. Election of board members for rotating 3 year terms is held at the meeting. Persons interested in serving on the Board should contact the President.
